Platanos College named as one of the best schools in the country by the Sutton Trust

Platanos College was today named by the Sutton Trust as among the best in the country after an analysis of the 500 top-performing schools.

Recent research by the Sutton Trust revealed that many top-performing schools were socially exclusive as a result of their locality, but Platanos College bucked this trend.  The analysis showed that Platanos College was in the top 5% of schools with a significant proportion of pupils above the national and local average attaining good GCSE results regardless of their social background.

Platanos College is also part of the SSAT Leading Edge network of high-performing schools and in the top 10% of schools in England for adding value to its pupils’ GCSE attainment (as recognised by the SSAT).
