To launch Anti-Bullying Week on Monday 10th November, Platanos College welcomed Stand Up Education to deliver an engaging workshop to our Year 7 pupils, focusing on racial and religious bullying and how to build a more compassionate school environment.
Through interactive discussions, pupils explored the importance of empathy, respect, and understanding – values that reflect the Platanos Trust’s mission to nurture confident, responsible individuals who contribute positively to society. The workshop empowered pupils to move from being bystanders to active upstanders, equipped to challenge prejudice and promote inclusion.
Our Year 7 pupils demonstrated exceptional engagement and maturity, showing the strength of our school ethos and our shared belief that every learner can succeed. Platanos College continues to foster an inspirational learning environment where kindness, curiosity, and high aspirations guide all that we do.
