Future Voices in Theatre

At the start of the academic year 2019-2020, a number of Platanos students were invited to join ‘Future Voices,’ a Creativity initiative in conjunction with Southwark Playhouse. Meeting every week, writers from KS3 and KS4 were tutored by professional playwrights and actors in a mentoring system that supported them in their journey to create their own plays.
Due to Covid-19 this was not possible, but to honour the creative investment and skill, actors took the scripts home during lockdown and filmed socially distant versions which are now available on Youtube for all to see.
