BBC Story Writing Competition
One of our pupils, Joanna Byrne (Year 7), entered the BBC Radio 2 Story Writing 2015 Competition earlier this term and achieved great success. Joanna wrote a short story entitled “Death Camp Diary”. Her story was based on her study at school of the novel The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas.
Being a national competition, there were over 200,000 entries. Of this number, Joanna was placed 30th overall – a magnificent achievement!
